The Walking Tour

The APS Historic Site walking tour was held on Monday, October 3. Two hundred employees, guest researchers, and retirees participated in this 1.6-mile walk. They walked from the parking lot outside Berkner toward Renaissance Road and then back, as the tour showcased some of Brookhaven's major facilities and the physics discoveries made there through the years. This walk also featured an innovation — the Lab’s first-ever audio tour. At every tour stop, walkers with smart phones were able to a scan a barcode to access the recorded audio tour. Those with iPods could also download the audio tour in advance to listen along the way.
