Shuttle Services
Use the TripShot app to schedule your shuttle ride
TripShot is an all-in-one rider app that allows you to plan and reserve shuttle rides. With the app you can:
- Reserve a shuttle ride to the train “Routes” and select “Train Station Run”
- Request a ride on-site through the app with “On Demand”
- Track shuttles in real time and view estimated arrival times.
- Access an interactive map of Brookhaven Lab which also includes points of interest such as electric vehicle charging stations, food services, BERA facilities, and more.
To get started, download the app to your mobile phone or tablet.

Log in with your Brookhaven Lab domain credentials (username and password).
On-site Courtesy Shuttle
The on-site Courtesy Shuttle offers on-call, door-to-door service on campus between 8 a.m. and 9:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Requests are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Be prepared to meet the van at the main entrance of your building. In order for us to serve as many customers as possible, be ready to board the van before making the call for pickup.
LIRR Train Station Shuttle
A shuttle van operates Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays and Laboratory closures, to transport Laboratory staff or visitors on lab business to and from the Long Island Railroad Ronkonkoma and Yaphank-BNL train stations. Riders are asked to be certain they have their badge before arriving on site.
Due to limited seating, reservations are required. If the shuttle is full, you will be put on the waitlist if and when a seat becomes available. Reserve a seat using TripShot.
- Reserve a shuttle ride to the train "Routes" and select "Train Station Run" and select which time and location you need to be picked up from.
- All shuttles will depart from the Laboratory at the bus shelters of Bldg. 400 on Bell Avenue and SUSC.
- The Courtesy Service will only accommodate bags/parcels that fit on the passenger's lap or beneath their seat.
- Ronkonkoma Station- Passengers should exit to the north side of the tracks and wait at street level in front of the Long Island Railroad Ticket Office. The shuttle will wait 10 minutes from the time the train arrives for passengers to board.
- Yaphank-BNL Station- The shuttle service will also provide on call service from 10:00am until 4:30pm. Please request drop offs from the lab to the station at least 30 minutes in advance of your expected train, to ensure that our staff has adequate time to get you to the station in time for your train.

Shopping Shuttle
The Shopping Shuttle is a courtesy shuttle that makes continuous loops between the Laboratory, Yaphank Walmart, Southport Shopping Center, and Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. Service is offered on the days and times listed below. Use TripShot to track where the BNL bus is.
The shuttle does not operate on Federal Holidays when the Laboratory is closed.
