Reactor Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM)
Proximal ProbesCategory: Scanning and Probing Microscopy Full Catalog
The reactor-Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (r-STM) system has three ultra-high vacuum chambers. The main chamber contains an STM that can run in UHV or at high-pressures, up to 3 Atm. The high-pressure operation is achieved by separating the reactor volume with an elastomer o-ring leaving the sample exposed to a volume of 0.5 ml of gas while imaging. A second chamber is used for sample preparation, including sputtering, annealing, and evaporating metals. The third chamber is for sample characterization with XPS under UHV conditions.
Manufacturer: Leiden Probe Microscopy
